At the 15th edition of the Sustainable Development Award<\/a>, organised by the Fondazione per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile and Ecomondo \u2013 Italian Exhibition Group, Pikyrent was recognised as one of the top 10 companies in the Circular Economy category<\/strong> for its RE Battery project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This achievement highlights Pikyrent’s strong commitment to sustainable innovation and the development of new industrial models that successfully combine technology, environmental responsibility and economic growth.<\/p>\n

Recognising Italian Excellence in Eco-Innovation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Sustainable Development Award is one of Italy’s leading initiatives celebrating excellence in environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n

The 2025 edition recognised companies, startups and local authorities that demonstrated significant environmental and economic achievements, as well as strong potential for scaling and replicating their projects.<\/p>\n

The award covered three main categories: Circular Economy<\/strong>, Decarbonisation and Climate Change Adaptation<\/strong>, and Nature Restoration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Pikyrent received its recognition in the Circular Economy category<\/strong>, with the following official motivation:<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the implementation of the RE Battery project, dedicated to regenerating decommissioned electric vehicles and reintroducing them into the shared urban mobility market, through the adoption of advanced standards for high-quality reuse and the development of a digital platform for remote diagnostics and traceability.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

RE Battery: Regenerate, Don’t Replace<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The RE Battery project<\/strong> was created to give decommissioned light electric vehicles a second life, reducing waste, emissions and costs.<\/p>\n

Currently operating in Bari, Turin and Milan<\/strong>, the initiative aims to complete the advanced regeneration of 1,500 electric scooters by December 2026<\/strong>, returning them to Pikyrent’s urban mobility fleet.<\/p>\n
